little red number
So i decided to start knitting another sweater to replace the hole left in my heart from the disapointment of that purple one. I wanted to try and knit a raglan sweater from the top down so that i could try it on as i went along. Mind you, i have never knit a raglan sweater, and of course i couldnt really find a pattern that i liked. Ok, so i didn't really look for one, but i figured i could try this one out on my own. So far so good.... just gotta figure out the decreases for the side shapping and i should be fine! well until i get to the sleeves that is.

It is sometimes frustrating to create your own pattern. I usually end up redoing it a few times till I am happy. Good luck with yours!

I started reading finnish blogs for 3 reasons.
1) all my friends link to the most interesting english knitting blogs and so i didnt see a need to link to them again.
2) I am planning on moving to finland for a few months next year and thought id try to find some interesting people before i went
3) im starting to learn finnish and eventually i hope to beable to read the blogs and not just look at the pictures :)
